Kangana and Deepika Padukone joined the same driving school
In fact, during an interview with Mashable India, Kangana told a funny anecdote about her driving lessons which was related to Deepika Padukone. The ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ actress revealed that when she was learning to drive, she often collided with other vehicles. She revealed that she and Deepika debuted at almost the same time and they also went to the same driving school and lived in Bandra.
Kangana said, “Deepika Padukone and I entered Bollywood at almost the same time. Her debut was in 2007, mine in 2006. We were in the same driving school at that time, both lived in Bandra at that time. The first time I gave a driving test, I drove my Santro and hit an auto-rickshaw. The driver came out screaming, and I realised I had pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. The auto driver was so scared that he ran away, probably thinking, ‘This woman is crazy.’ I quit driving after that.”
Kangana Ranaut had hit a police jeep
In the same interview, Kangana said, “After five years, I saw Deepika driving my SUV and thought, ‘We were in the same driving school and learned at the same time, but she is driving, and I still can’t drive. It became a matter of pride, so I decided to try again, I had a BMW. I practiced for a week and went for the driving test again. This time, it was a police jeep. My driver said, ‘Madam, you hit the police car.’ I again made the same mistake of pressing the accelerator instead of the brake.
